For those of you who have been monitoring my activity, either as fans, friends, family, or law-enforcement professionals, you know that every year around Boxing Day I announce a post-a-comment-to-enter contest with books and other prizes going to one lucky individual, or, in the inaugural year, a suspect individual implicated in a scandal involving catnip bribes and feline members of my household. In any case, the bonanza will occur, but will occur sometime in early 2011 when there are advance copies of THE TANGLEWOOD TERROR to sweeten the pot. It will also take place on my off-topic blog, for technical reasons, but I will post a link here so you can enter. Watch this space for future announcements. Or better yet, sign up to get emails of these updates.
I meant to include this in my last web roundup, but thanks to the wonderful author Sara Zarr for reading and writing about Mamba Point on her blog.
If you’re a teacher or librarian in Missouri involved with the Mark Twain awards, please note that I offer free Skype visits to reading groups and small classes, depending on my schedule and availability. Drop me a line if you would like to have me drop in virtually and talk to some young readers.
Offer also extended to Utah and Massachusetts and really anywhere else but those states also have reading programs that include Mudville this year.
